Overnight Trips
Here are some of the popular overnight trips which have been enjoyed by CRTE residents -
Charleston, SC. A bit of a drive but worth it. The charm of the Old South is everywhere. Plenty to see with an intersting walk through history along the waterfront and elsewhere. Great food.
Disneyworld. Everyone's favorite. Florida residents get special discounts. America's theme park icon and for many of us an annual visit is a must. Three days stay or more to really enjoy it all. Stay on the Disney premises to take full advantage of the ambience and the nifty Disney Transport system.
Everglades City. If you really want something different, this is for you. It is the old Florida with a feel and atmosphere that really is different. Tours, kayaking and even B&B's and hotels.

Everglades City still has the feel and look of the Old Florida.
Fort Myers Beach. Our Gulf Coast counterpart. The Gulf is usually calm without waves and the local people mainly from the Midwest. Quiet. Beach suited for walking and jogging. Bicycle rentals are there for nice long ride along paved sidewalks.
Key West. Duval Street and all the shops, restaurants, bars, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, just walking, cruiseport. Great for a few days getaway, easy to relax and be yourself. Beach is almost non-existent but walking and taking it all in more than suffices. Check out the Truman Little White House area.

Key West along the world famous Duval Street. Just a few miles long connecting the Atlantic Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico and lots of interesting shops with an unique culture.
Naples. Enjoy upscale Naples with its 5th Avenue South, the Naples pier, superb beaches. Plenty of restaurants and unique shops. Dress casual but neat. Very quiet and a feeling ofwealth pervades everywhere.

Naples Florida showing Fifth Avenue South. Dress casual but neat when visiting Naples. The shops really are elegant and quite different from what would be found in any shopping center. Worth a visit.
St. Augustine. Fountain of Youth fame. Lots of shops, easy walking. A very different lifestyle compared to other Florida beach communities. Perhaps a good place to stop on the way to visiting Charleston, SC.
