The entrance by the loading dock is used by residents to load and unload items from the car. That same entrance must be used by all vendors doing work in the building.
Committees
Our co-operative building is organized into several committees which, along with the Board of Directors, contributes to the overall operation of CRTE.

"That sounds like a great idea!" A CRTE committee meets to discuss business-at-hand.
BUDGET & FINANCE COMMITTEE. The Budget and Finance Committee assists the Treasurer with the building finances. It is responsible for the development and implementation of the building's budget. It also reviews and recommends on the building insurance and investments.
BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE. The Building & Grounds Committee is responsible for assessing the CRTE building and property along with the Manager and determining the projects that need to be done, how they will be done, the costs, and funding sources, and developing a multi-year plan to serve as a guideline for future building projects and improvements.
LANDSCAPING COMMITTEE. The Landscaping Committee is responsible for developing and recommending to the Board a plan for landscaping the building and implementing the plan once approved. It works closely with the Building and Grounds Committee.

An egret has decided to pay a visit to the beautiful CRTE grounds.
SAFETY & SECURITY COMMITTEE. The Safety and Security Committee is responsible for reviewing emergency procedures, building security, grounds security, and The Rules We Live By, and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for improvements in procedures, operations, and structure which would enhance the safety and security of the building residents and their property.
PERSONNEL COMMITTEE. The Personnel Committee works with the Manager to develop, implement and review policies related to the building staff. It advises on staffing needs, personnel problems, and in-service development programs, and recommends wage and salary adjustments for staff to the Budget and Finance Committee.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE. The Membership Committee is responsible for interviewing and informing candidates for membership in the CRTE co-op and making recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the candidates. The Committee also reviews concerns that may arise involving residents and recommends actions to the Manager and/or the Board of Directors.
DECORATIONS COMMITTEE. This committee gets involved with holiday decorations (like Christmas and Hanukah) and other special events.
AD HOC SELF-INSURANCE COMMITTEE.
BINGO COMMITTEE - WEDNESDAYS. As the name implies, this committee handles all that is involved in setting up our bingo game each week. Bingo is popular among the residents of the entire CRTE complex who often meet here on Wednesday evenings in the Community Room. It is the real deal with a caller, different setup patterns for each game and prizes.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE. This web site and in-house Channel 95 are the major contributions of this committee. Our TV arrangement with Comcast and our on-going discussions on wi-fi, smartphones, iPads and so on contribute to a lively high tech group.
BRIDGE COMMITTEE - MONDAY & THURSDAY. The card game that is popular with many residents is organized with this committee.
LIBRARY COMMITTEE. This committee oversees all the books, paperbacks and magazines in the CRTE library.
MOVIE COMMITTEE - FRIDAYS. Every Friday evening CRTE has a free movie for residents. Usually this involves a DVD shown on a large TV screen in the Community Room. This committee chooses the film and organizes the evening presentation
SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE. There will not be one main committee. Several people have expressed an interest in doing different activities: dinners, cookouts, special events, etc. As a group forms to put on an activity, it should be coordinated so as to avoid conflict in dates, and then proceed with the activity in terms of promotion, collecting charges, setting up, and cleanup.
